How Many Years are You Dead? Can Aging Be Slowed Down?

Sounds like an odd question, but most medical and scientific sources agree that around age twenty, our bodies stop growing and begin the “dying” process. So how many years “dead” are you? Speaking about how old we are—there is a difference between our real age and our calendar age.

Our real age is how old our body actually feels; whereas our calendar age is how old we really are.

According to Dr. Brenda Hefti, “The brain weighs about 3 pounds, and after age 20, you lose about a gram of brain mass per year. Three pounds is about 1.4 kilograms. You can check out more from Dr. Heft in this article: When we Start Losing Brain Cells. Obviously speaking, we know we’re born, we live and we die. It may seem like we have no control over the rate of aging in our lives. However, we do have some control. True, there is no fountain of youth in life. Life is a cycle of being born, living out our lives and then we die. However, it does seem as if we’re always chasing after that elusive fountain of life.

It’s no secret that as we age, our body starts to slow down.

We don’t have the same amount of energy that we used to as children. Our bodies are not as limber as we once were. The previous years we were continuing to grow and not have our cells deteriorate. Once we reach our thirties and continue aging, it’s so vital that we begin to build our bodies’ immune systems. If we want to increase our longevity, we need to work at building our immune systems as vigorously as possible during our thirties to fifties in prevention and preparation of possible and probable attacks against our immune systems when we reach our sixties to eighties.

At any time once we begin the aging process at the age of twenty, we can begin to turn-back time, by continuing to revitalize our immune system and bolster our defenses.

Exercise needs to become part of our daily routine.

If we can’t get started on a daily or at least three times a week exercise routine, we need to do our best to stay active during the day. Eating a healthy diet, relieving our stress and taking daily supplements (especially natural ones) is the way to maintain optimal health and work at building our immune systems to keep us healthy and prevent future diseases.

Taking a daily resveratrol liquid dietary supplement has been clinically found to slow aging at four levels of cellular physiology.

Those levels are: cell defense, cell energy, cell repair and cell performance. It’s normal in the cycle of life for biological stressors to cause cellular aging. Again, taking a resveratrol supplement diminishes these signs of aging. In the aging process, our cell reproduction decreases. Resveratrol increases our bodies’ energy production. Every day our DNA is attacked millions of times from various biological and environmental stressors. These attacks damage our DNA. When our DNA is damaged, that creates errors which can then compromise the ability of our cells to do their jobs correctly. Cell impairment occurs when destructive AGE proteins form. Taking a resveratrol supplement is proven to be the catalyst to improve cell performance.

Knowledge is power and once we know that we have the ability to positively affect our bodies’ immune systems, what is stopping us? The only thing that is stopping us is then ourselves. It is possible to slow aging, thus increasing cell defense, cell energy, cell repair and cell performance. With due diligence and proper research into what health products truly work, we will be doing our bodies a favor, adding years to our lives.
