Are You Ever Too Old to Realize Your Dreams?

Are You Ever Too Old to Realize Your Dreams?

by Joanne Troppello

“We only grow as big as we dream that’s why we must dream big.” – Gabrielle Williams

Have you stopped dreaming big dreams for your life? Do you think you’re too old to keep dreaming and believing that God still has great things in store for your life? Sometimes I feel this way; especially lately with the circumstances that my husband and I are currently going through.

We have been trying to endure valiantly with the help and comfort of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and reading the Word—but sometimes the wait of the waiting time can be tough. So, I started reading “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson for the second time. I thought it was time to start praying circles around our situation. Mark Batterson shared in his book that, “Our generation desperately needs to rediscover the difference between praying for and praying through.”

I was reminded the other day of the passage in Jeremiah 29:11 that says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I believe that scripture and know that God has a plan for my life. When we’re dealing with tough times, it’s such a blessing to know that God is with us through everything we go through. He may not answer every prayer exactly as we’d like, but that’s because He has the best in mind for our lives.

If we are still breathing, then we’re still alive and have a purpose in this life. Check out my video blog below to hear about an inspiring story Mark Batterson shared in his book to demonstrate that we are never too old to keep dreaming big. God wants us to dream big, so He will get all the glory when He accomplishes His purposes in our lives.

A Word from Joanne
