Have You Heard About MovieGuide.org?
by Joanne Troppello
I recently found out about the Movie Guide which is a family guide to movies and entertainment. They are a 501c3 non-profit organization and are able to provide this exceptional service through generous support from donations. You can visit their website for more information. They have an app that is available for both android and iOS devices. On their website, you can find reviews, articles, podcasts, videos, their top ten list, and their recommendations.
They provide reviews of movies that are currently in theaters, such as “Unbroken: Path to Redemption.” That was a great movie. It showed the redemption of Louis Zamperini, that was not depicted in the first movie, “Unbroken”. You can check out reviews of trending movies like “The Nun”—find the review here.
In their reviews, they include a short summary of the movie as well as an in-depth review. You can find information such as whether the movie has a moral, Christian, dominant, or other worldview. They advise if there is violence, foul language, sexual content, nudity, alcohol use, smoking or drug use, and miscellaneous immorality. It is a very comprehensive review that is ideal for people with families or those who are seeking information on movies that are family-friendly.
Example of a Movie Guide Review
My husband and I recently saw “God Bless the Broken Road.” This movie was inspiring, and I highly recommend it. Here is a video review from Movie Guide about this movie. Check it out to see what kind of helpful reviews you can find at their website.
