God’s Love Neve Fails
Let Him Be Your Rock at All Times
by J.M. Troppello
God loves you. He sent His Son Jesus to die for your sins. Franklin Graham said, “No matter what storm you face, you need to know that God loves you.” That is so true. It may be difficult to believe that when you are going through life’s storms. But, don’t forget it. God loves you and has a plan for your life.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:1-8, NKJV)
Verse 5 of this passage has always been so comforting to me. God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. The depth of God’s love continues for us in verse 8. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God loved you before you were saved. He loves you now too. He doesn’t love or condone sin. Yet, His love for His children is deep and boundless. I hope you can let the words in this passage from Romans sink deep into your spirit. God has given the Holy Spirit to His children to be our comforter and guide. Embrace God’s love today through the power of the Holy Spirit working in your life.
“The hope that believers have of their future glory with God will not disappoint them by being unfulfilled. They will not be put to shame or humiliated because of their hope. The reason the believer can be so confident is that the love of God has been poured out. The moment a person trusts in Christ, that person receives the Holy Spirit (see: Romans 8:9), who constantly encourages them in their hope in God.” (Source: TNSB)
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9, NKJV)
Christian, take heart today and know that you are dearly loved by God!
