Book Review: Always and Forever by Wendy Lindstrom
by Joanne Troppello
Always and Forever by Wendy Lindstrom is a sweet and clean historical romance that is 335 pages and is the first book in the Second Chance Brides series. This book is the sweet edition of When I Fall in Love.
I saw some punctuation and spelling errors right away in the first chapter. That likely occurred because this was a different edition than the first book. Maybe that's when some of the mistakes occurred. It wasn't overbearing, but somewhat distracting. At least there were no POV issues—which is a huge pet peeve of mine.
I loved the storyline. I could hardly put my Kindle down after reading my two chapters per sitting. This book is so good!
The love story is sweet. The romantic tension between the main characters Nancy and Hal is great. It really drew me in to their story.
I loved learning more about woodworking during this historical time period as Nancy was learning from Hal when he shared about his trade.
The small-town life and engaging neighbors were interesting. It made me want to time travel back to this simpler life.
Ok, although, I don't think I could survive without the Internet since that's how I promote my magazine. ;)
