Living Life
Refocusing on What Matters
by Joanne Troppello
I wrote the following poem years ago and recently resurrected it for publication on Medium.com and thought it was fitting for what our year, 2020 has been like. It’s been surreal. It has been difficult for many people.
Recently, I posted the following on all my social media accounts:
Personally, the struggles from 2020 have drawn me closer to the Lord. I have spoken to other family members, friends, and people online—they’ve said the same thing that their focus has been turned back to God more than ever before in their lives.
I trust that God is in control and He knows all things. He has a plan, and I can trust Him to guide my way. The election is still in flux because of claims of voter fraud. I’m praying for the truth to come out. However, I know that no matter how things turn out, God is still in control.
I’m believing that revival is on the way. Back on October 1st, I wrote an article, “Is Revival on the Way? Spiritual Renewal in These End Times” about my experience watching The Return 2020 online that entire day. That was a powerful service where we as a nation asked God to forgive us and prayed for revival.
I believe that revival is coming. I know I am Heaven bound and in the end God wins. That truth is what gives me peace each day.
Living Life with Focus
Just this morning I was thinking
how we get so caught up in living.
Seldom do we take the time to see
the little things that come so free.
It seems as though the older we grow,
the more we forget what we used to know.
We get so busy always dizzy.
We’re working our way into a tizzy.
We need to always give God praise
and listen in silence to hear His ways.
