A Church, an Arbor, or a Lonely Mount

A place for my weary soul to find rest

by Joanne Troppello

Lying on my bed I wonder if any sanctuary can be found.

Would one go to a church up on the hill,

Or an arbor scented by pine trees green,

Or a lonely mount spacious in its view?

No. My wanderings led me elsewhere to any place

where an open soul comes unencumbered to the

Father of the church, the creator of the scented arbor

and the majestic lonely mount where He breathes into the soul.
