Getting Ready for a Move of God

Decluttering Your Soul and Preparing Your Spirit

by Joanne Troppello

I’ve been watching videos recently from Chris Yoon. He is a YouTuber who shares faith-related content. Many of his videos lately have been geared toward encouraging Christians (and those who are not saved yet) to get ready for a move of the Lord. He said that God has shown him that a season of revival is coming.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. – I John 4:1-3 (NKJV)

I use this verse as a guide when listening to evangelists, pastors, prophets, or other Biblical teachers. If they are not bringing all their teaching back to the truth that Jesus is Lord; Jesus saves; and Jesus is coming again, then I won’t listen to their teachings or ministry.

However, from what I’ve been listening to, Chris Yoon seems to be bringing the full truth of the Word in his videos and seeks to glorify God and confesses that Jesus is Lord. I’ve included one of his videos below.

Getting Ready for God to Move

I agree with how Chris Yoon said that revival is on the way. I watched The Return 2020 livestream from D.C. on Saturday, 9/26. There was prayer and reconciliation for our nation and the world from 11 am - 5 pm and praise and worship from 6 - 8:45 pm. I think they had a prayer walk earlier in the morning, but I didn’t start watching the livestream until 11 am. You can read more of my experience watching that livestream in my article, Jo’s Journal: Is Revival on the Way?

Chris has encouraged us to start evaluating our souls and spirits to see things that we need to change and areas that God wants to work on in our lives.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth. – II Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)

I want to diligently grow in my walk with the Lord by reading the Bible daily, studying it, praying, and worshipping Him. Sometimes I fail, but God’s grace is new each day. I am excited to see God move in revival across this world.

Are you getting ready for a move of the Lord and decluttering your soul and preparing your spirit?
