4 Things That Inspire Me Each Day

Choose to See the Inspiring Things and People Around You

by Veritas Vita 777

There are a lot of things around you each day that can inspire you to keep going and to continue growing as a mature individual. However, the key is that you need to take a step to find those things. You can choose to see the good in life or always see the bad. The following four things (or people) inspire me each day.

1. God

“God meets daily needs daily. Not weekly or annually. He will give you what you need when it is needed.” – Max Lucado

I’m a person of faith. God is the main inspiration in my life. If I didn’t have the Lord in my life, I don’t know where I’d be. He’s saved me, set me free from the bondage of sin, provides for me, and loves me. And I love Him! God inspires me to grow in my spiritual life each day. His Word is a guiding lamp to my feet. I am inspired by my prayer time with Him and when I worship Him.

2. Family

“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” – Desmond Tutu

I love my family. Sure, we don’t always get along well. However, I agree that they are God’s gifts to me. I hope that I can daily be a gift to them. I am inspired by family members who are working through family issues and seeking to find positive and productive solutions. I’m encouraged by family members who are driven to make this world a better place, simply by being a better human.

3. Friends

“Remember that the most valuable antiques are dear old friends.” – H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

I don’t have a large friend group, but I have a small, tight-knit group that brings me joy and inspiration. I’m thankful for people in my life who’ve got my back – and are able to speak the truth in love—even when and especially when I don’t want to hear it. I’m grateful that I am not walking alone in this life. They’ve inspired me to be a better person as well.

4. Nature

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon, and the sun, how they move in silence…we need silence to be able to touch souls.” – Mother Teresa

I am inspired by the beauty of God’s creation. I love spending time outside and breathing in the fresh air – soaking in the scenic beauty around me. I love how Mother Teresa said that we need silence to be able to touch souls. I agree. Silence is inspiring to me. Sure, I don’t want to be in silence all day long. But I’ve learned to value times of silence each day. You can be still with your own thoughts and work through things going on in your life. Sitting in silence can help you refocus on God. It helps me remember that He’s still in control in this crazy world. Embracing the silence can help to reset your perspective.

Do the Work to Find Inspiration Each Day

Some days, it’s easy to find things that inspire you. On other days, it’s more difficult to find things or people that inspire you. Wherever you find yourself today, I hope that you continue to seek things that inspire you—and embrace that inspiration to become a better person.

What do you choose to do today? Are there any things in your life that inspire you to become a better person?
