Changing Your Perspective Can Change Your Life

You Can Control Your Choices Each Day and Focus on Positivity

by Veritas Vita 777

Your mindset is an important part of living a life with more intention. According to a study by McKinsey & Company, “Data tells us that having the right mindset matters even more than your socioeconomic background – and is an even larger contributor to achievement. A well-calibrated motivation mindset coupled with a growth mindset can propel [individuals] into the higher levels of attainment.”

Changing my perspective has significantly impacted my life in a positive way.

1. Choice

“The only thing you sometimes have control over is perspective. You don’t have control over your situation. But you have a choice about how you view it.” – Chris Pine

There are a lot of choices you have to make each day. One of those choices includes how you view the world and all those things that happen to you each day. You can choose to react negatively when bad things happen – or you can respond rationally with an open mind. I choose to see life with a positive perspective. Yes, that’s not always easy when things go wrong. However, it’s a life goal that I have to continue to cultivate a positive perspective in my life.

2. View

“Life is about perspective and how you look at something…ultimately, you have to zoom out.” – Whitney Wolfe Herd

I love this quote from Whitney Wolfe Herd – especially the part where it’s suggested that you have to zoom out. I have found that when I zoom out and try to see the bigger picture, the smaller annoyances and frustrations in life can seem more insignificant. Seeing the bigger picture can help you get through the rough patches in life.

3. Gratitude

“Gratitude is one of the strongest and most transformative states of being. It shifts your perspective from lack to abundance and allows you to focus on the good in your life, which in turn pulls more goodness into your reality.” – Jen Sincero

One important thing that has helped me maintain a positive perspective is that I’ve learned to cultivate gratitude in my life. Being thankful for things can help you see that you have more blessings than you may have realized. I love how this quote from Jen Sincero reminds us that gratitude shifts your perspective from lack to abundance and allows you to focus on the good in your life. Being grateful opens your heart to receiving more goodness each day – even from places you never thought you’d find those blessings.

4. Faith

“Faith gives you an inner strength and a sense of balance and perspective in life.” – Gregory Peck

I completely agree with this quote from Gregory Peck. My faith in God plays a huge role in my life and is the reason why I can keep a positive perspective. You may not have faith in God. However, it’s important to keep your faith alive each day—faith in people and hope for a better future.

Change Your Life

Change your perspective so you can change your life. I speak from experience that cultivating a positive perspective can improve your daily existence – from one of simply surviving to one of thriving through difficulties.

You can choose to focus on the negative or positive things. The way you view life can impact your behavior. Cultivating gratitude can be revolutionary for your personal growth and development. Maintain your faith as a central focus each day.
