Do You Believe That God is Faithful?

God Keeps His Covenant and Mercy for Those Who Love Him

by Veritas Vita 777

I saw the question asked recently online would you still believe in God even if He never answered another one of your prayers? I can honestly say that I would still believe in God even if He didn’t answer any of my prayers. Why? Because He doesn’t exist simply to make me happy.

I love God because I have a personal relationship with Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I know that God is my Heavenly Father. I daily enjoy communion with the Holy Spirit. I know that one day I will be with them in Heaven.

9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; (Deut. 7:9, NKJV)

I have seen God move in my life as a Christian. I’ve experienced countless miracles in my lifetime that have shown me how gracious God is and will always be. I love this verse from Deut. 7:9. God is faithful. He keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him.

I believe that God is always faithful.

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness[a] to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:19-25, NKJV)

As a believer, you have a confession of hope. You have confidence that one day you will be in Heaven. You have hope that God is in control, and He only has the best in mind for you.

8 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the [a]elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 This is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. 12 If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. 13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
(2 Tim. 2:8-13, NKJV)

This passage from 2 Timothy 2:8-13 is another great reminder of God’s faithfulness. As believers, we are all united with Christ through His death and resurrection—and have eternal life. Enduring through the trials and tribulations in life will reap a reward when Christ returns (See: Luke 19:11-27, Romans 8:17, and Rev. 3:21).

Notice the words in verse 13. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. That is such a beautiful reminder to me. God is faithful. He is always working in your life.
