Recipe for Squash and Shaved Meat Parmesan

I’ve made eggplant parmesan and zucchini parmesan before. I like both meals and they taste good when made the right way. We had two yellow squash left from our garden. We’ve gotten a lot of them from the garden this year and usually slice them up and grill them as a side dish with potatoes and meat, or with chicken or meat with rice.
However, I wanted to try something different. My husband and I like shaved beef meat which can be used for cheesesteaks or with rice, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. So, I asked if he’d like to try the shaved meat with the squash like a parmesan baked dish. He thought it would be a good idea.

1-2 Medium Sized Yellow Squash
1 lb. Shaved Beef Meat
1 Jar of Tomato Sauce
1 (1 lb.) bag of Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese Blend
(or ½ lb. bag separately)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Slice squash into thin slices and sauté in a frying pan with olive oil. Add the shaved meat to another frying pan. Cook both for 20-30 minutes until the squash is softened and the meat is browned.
Add some tomato sauce to the bottom of a baking pan (8x8"). Layer in the squash, then shaved meat, cheese, and sauce. Repeat this step with a second layer. Top with some cheese on top to taste. Then add seasoning. You can also add seasoning in between the layers.
Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
